April Fools’ STEM: Stroop Effect

Kids in grades 3-8 will Challenge themselves to this tricky activity: name the colors of the given words, but DO NOT read the words, rather, say the color that the word is written in. It’s not as easy as you think!
The famous Stroop Effect is named after J. Ridley Stroop who discovered this strange phenomenon in the 1930s.

Stimulates children’s imagination and creativity, develop early literacy skills, and the creation of new worlds, all of these and more are what reading provides for kids. Fortunately, there are many libraries in Wyoming with nice spaces and lovely reading activities. If you don’t know which one to choose, visit our blog of The Best Libraries in Wyoming for Kids.
